OU Job Board and Jewish B2B Networking Present Chicago Job Fair, Thurs., 10/30 at Block 37
The OU Job Board and Jewish B2B Networking will join forces to present a Job Fair and Small Business B2B (Business to Business) event in Chicago, Thursday, October 30, from 10 a.m. to 3p.m. at Block 37, 108 North State Street. The event is being held in coordination with the Small Business Advocacy Council, an organization that provides the link that puts businesses together. It will be the fourth annual employment and B2B event in Chicago, the OU Job Board’s second year as partner and third year of participation. The OU Job Board is sponsored by the Orthodox Union.
The OU Job Board’s Job Fair will feature more than 25 employment recruiters, with several hundred candidates expected to attend. The jobs to be offered include varied categories from lower level entry jobs to upper management positions in both profit and non-profit environments.
Registered candidates will be expected to demonstrate the background and credentials to qualify for the positions being offered. According to Michael Rosner, executive director of the Job Board, the presence of qualified candidates, rather than those without the necessary backgrounds, accounts for the great success of OU job fairs; these fairs feature a higher percentage of job offers (some made on the spot) and callbacks than other fairs, which include unscreened job seekers. There is no charge for job seeker attendance, with pre-registration, which is required. Walk-ins will be assessed a $20 fee.
“The OU Job Fair’s success in Chicago last year made it obvious that we would return again to continue to work with Jewish B2B Networking to fulfill the important goals of both our organizations,” Mr. Rosner said. “On October 30, with the fall Jewish holidays in the past, people’s attention will be directed to employment, and we intend to open as many doors as possible for job candidates, whether they are currently working, working part-time, or unemployed. This is what OU job fairs are all about.”
Shalom Klein, director of Jewish B2B Networking, declared: “Jewish B2B Networking and the OU Job Board share a similar mission in helping connect employers looking for talent and people seeking their next career opportunity. We are excited to bring the OU’s successful programming to Chicago for the second local job fair. We expect that it will draw large crowds, major employers and make a real difference in the community.”
Candidates and employers are invited to register at www.oujobs.org. For questions, contactjobsco@ou.org or call 212-563-4000 and ask for the Job Board.

Last Call to Register For The FREE Chicago Job Fair sponsored by the Jewish Community Council of West Rogers Park and OU Job Board
Dear Employer,
I would like to cordially invite you to the upcoming Jewish Community Council of West Rogers Park Chicago Job Fair on Thursday, March 6th, 2014 at Congregation K.I.N.S (2800 W North Shore Ave). This event is being Co-sponsored by OU Job Board and Jewish B2B Networking. This job fair is the OU Job Board’s eleventh job fair in the USA and with our track record of success we would like you to join us for what is sure to be our most successful event yet. If you are looking to fill any jobs, from mailroom to CEO, there will be highly-qualified candidates in attendance for all your hiring needs. Once registered, we will advertise the jobs you have and make sure, to the best of our ability, that only those candidates who are qualified to fill your open positions will show up at your table. Our success rate attests to the fact that the OU Job Board has the largest job fair success rate in interview to hire, than anyone else we know of. That’s a big statement to make but you can’t fool the stats. With a 15% hire rate vs. the common 3-5% hire rate at other job fairs, you are assured that the candidates you will see are the candidates you need to be successful. Please see some more information below as well as the enclosed flyer.
We hope to see you there!
